Electronic was a British supergroup formed in 1988 by Bernard Sumner of New Order and Johnny Marr of The Smiths. The band emerged during a time when both members were looking to explore new musical directions beyond their respective bands' established sounds. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys contributed to the debut single "Getting Away with It."
